    Summary:

Kenika Double posted about some shitty old carbs he has been saving but just bought. For some reason he thought he could put them on his car but then tried to play it off later like he knew something. Now he thinks people are jealous of his solexs.

Now, if he had showed up with trip weber 45s and a korman intake mani - that would be a different story.

But even still, carbing a fuel injected car that's not being built for the track is pretty fucking pointless. Carbing a fuel injected car that IS being built for the track is pretty fucking pointless to because you won't see much in the way of gains at all, ESPECIALLY not in relation to the amount of money expended.

I think the best part of these threads is that the OP didn't know the difference between a carburetor and a throttle body and yet, in earlier threads claims to be some sort of mechanic...

He is a vinyl and krylon mechanic. He isn't, however, a roof repair man.

Also, you're forgetting you can tap side drafts for injectors and seal up all the jets and venturis.

But why? You'd just have a shit load of extra stuff not doing anything and I'm sure there are 1.5 2002s out there that would love to have some decent sidedrafts that HAVEN'T been fucked with...

Side drafts aren't that hard to find. You just have to be willing to pay the cash. Anyone who can't find any isn't looking hard enough.

                    Besides, I didn't like the 45's on my 72 2002. I was running a 304 cam too.

I know they're not hard to find, my shop is full of them. But still, it just seems like there would be less complicated routes....

I promise it's cheaper to tap some mikunis or weber 45s than to go full itb or slide throttle.

Period correct look with new technology?

Think about it - you can have what looks to be a stock 2002ti but instead have a fi monster.

from a performance point of view your right but there is something badass about filthy old carbs

                                with you on that one,

Turf, we've heard no mention of this hotshot mechanics plans to put injectors on them. I'm betting he just though the flanges looked similar so it must fit, right?
