    DCOE's

I'm an inch away from pulling the trigger on three new DCOE's, once I get a little money saved up, but can't decide on 40's or 45's. I'm debating it since comparing it to an m10 at .5L/cyl it hardly needs a 45 unless its really modified, and I'd only even get to that displacement if I stroke the M20 to 3L or over...which IS a little excessive but really would be amazing.

The problem is, that if I stay NA with at least one of the M20's that I'll have for my 2002, I will want to make it high displacement, and of course it would also be the one with the DCOE's. Basically, what I'm asking is if any of you think 40's would be just fine, even with an agressive cam and essentially M10 displacement per cyl (assuming I do eventually stroke it)...or if I should spring for the 45's. Basically the same price.

if you've got the money to blow, get the 45's. you can always put smaller chokes in to get them tuned right for smaller displacement.

how much are new DCOE's selling for these days? I sold the 45's off my '02 for $1200 a few years ago.

wow... you made a deal :)

Pierce manifolds, I think, goes by carbpartsdirect on ebay. At least they are both in Gilroy. For each carburetor, without linkages, filters, manifolds, or any of that stuff they have them listed as $361 each, regardless of whether its a 40 or 45. Anywhere else I've seen them (like from Weber directly) they're 400.

Oh, that was with manifolds, linkage, TWM velocity stacks, and filters.

Ah ok, makes more sense. I didn't make that connection when I posted. Of course it included all that stuff...nice. I just hope that the manifold from the guys in SA would clear with DCOE's before hitting/over a Tii booster. I'd rather not fab up a boosterless set up, or tilton pedals.

I would probably get dual 40s, My single 45dcoe is more than enough for my mildly modded m10. (cam, SS valves, springs, piano top pistons). Oh ya and I have that UBER rare Lynx manifold people drewl over. My buddy ran dual delortos with a Tii booster.

Justin put the trip webers in the 2002. That's on my list of dream cars. A 2000CS with a trip carb'd m20 would be cooler though...
