I'm sorry you can't get a decent price for your whip but I find it funny you say you have 15k invested in the car, it wasn't invested it was spent.

I would list it again, probably just a fluke.... there is probably a buyer out there but didn't see your car. I would have no problem paying 10k for a clean e30 with a s50/s52 swap done. It sure is cheaper than doing all the work yourself.

It's unfortunate, but the money you put into a car is never recouped when you sell it.

I don't know what your opening bid was, but it's best to set a low starting bid and let people bid it up then to set it high.

Edit: I see that you set the opening bid at 5K

I would relist the car, set the opening bid at $500.00 and see what happens.

You'll get a lot more bids and a lot more interest in the auction.

Of course, you'll want to set a reserve price, but don't expect to get back anywhere near what you put into the car.

Relist the car at a much lower opening bid, set a reserve and maybe redo the title of the auction as it is somewhat vague and confusing.

The economy is booming, people are just giving up there homes because they don't feel like living there anymore.

$4.39 gal for gas in NY today really doesn't affect the way people live either.

                  +1, it's what I do on ebay.

                  1) $ .01 starting bid
                  2) $5,500 or whatever reserve price
= A lot more views/watchers, higher price in the end.

Sorry to hear that bro! That's the main reason I sold my previous e30 and bought a e30 M3. I was putting all this money into the car and it just wasn't really going to hold it's value in the long run. I feel that the e30 M3 was a great investment for me and I feel a hell of a lot better putting money into her.

x2. no such thing as an investment in a vehicle. it will no mater what be depreciated... untill its uber rare.

some guys spend 30 to 50 thousand on hand built hotrods. a man can spend every spare minute building something he thought was god on wheels, and all in all, it would only sell for 10 to upwards 30k.

sorry to hear it. If i had the cash, id buy it.
