I guess there is no "new members welcome" forum, maybe for a reason, but anyway, i am a new member, but i don't have an E30 (gasp!) that's right. But i am an E30 fanatic, and i a feverishly searching for a 318is.

Welcome. Usually people lurk, learn, then post. At least that's what I did, and I haven't been banned yet!

I think people should search more often, but also, if you think you have a special situation feel free to post. Sometimes dialogue is worth more than just combing through posts for unique problems. However, here are non-unique problems / questions:

1. What do I need for an M50 swap (whole bunch of parts that have been discussed ad nauseum in 3000 threadS)
2. My M42 is making a rattling noise. Whatup? (bad tensioner / timing system)
3. My windows are covered in a greasy film. Noes! (blown heater core)
4. E36 steering rack conversion. What do I need? (FAQ thread discusses everything)

And just FYI, you have 30 days to obtain an E30 after account activation if you do not already have one. So make haste and get into one.

I actually have some questions regarding this whole "creeping" thing: Are you, in fact, a creep, thus "creeping" people to death, thus the screen name...or are you just death, AKA the "Grim Reaper" creeping up on things or people or what?

So yeah, is the E36 a 5 speed? Looks like it was pretty decent before impact, good ol' M50 should do just fine in an E30, just find that magical oil pan and pickup..low mileage?

It is a shame the cost of transporting cars has skyrocketed as it has. I turn down E30s all the time, early, late, all rust free and cheap! $300 can get you a decent shell here pretty easy...hell, I got 2 late model shells free, one with both bumpers!

There is a song by Metallica called Creeping Death, and i am quite the Metallica fab (also Iron Maiden) and since Creeping Death is such a cool song, i decided to use it a long time ago on some other forum and it stuck for every forum i am a member of. yeah the E36 is a 5-speed, no, it does not have low mileage (240,000)

I do not know too much about the swap, just that it is relatively common and do-able with the right parts, but i am planning on buying a 318is to drive until i graduate from college (to get good mpg's) and then do the swap.

Thank you, but at this point i need a 318is (preferrably '89-'91) that is in good running condition because i do not have the resources to take on a project until i graduate from college and get a house with a garage
