New member from Atlanta checking in

Hello guys and gals. I hope this is the correct section for an introduction. I just registered today and I wanted to introduce myself. Ive always been a fan of BMW's. Im currently in the market for a 318is or a 325is. My plans for the car will be a nice set of coilovers, wheels, and brakes. Currently I own a 03 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution that i have modified and is making about 350whp. Hopefully I can find a clean 3 series in Atlanta or near by pretty soon. im learning new terms like "shadowlining" and the differences in bumpers and grills. Eitherway, Thanks again and Im glad to be here.

BTW: i was cruising around the other day and I saw a beautiful, blacked out 5-series wagon with matching black wheels. As i was scrolling through the members rides pics, i noticed that he/she is a member on this forum. I guess it is a small world. -later

can someone please direct me to a thread or just tell me where i can find the year to year exterior changes of the E30? Im aware of the bumper change in 89. I just wanted to see if there were any other body changes. the reason i ask is because i see some members rides have turn signals in the black strip of the front bumper and others dont. euro bumbers maybe ?!? aftermarket bumbers maybe?!? Again please dont flame me and say SEARCH. Im a noob to E30's but not to cars. I just want to make sure im not overlooking anything with my purchase. thnx again

Welcome! Yeah, that is the euro bumper trim. For any OEM part you need, there is a user on here by the name of blunt who sells whatever you need for good prices. I bought that trim, a rear plate filler and some factory side skirts from him.

As far as body changes, aside from the change in bumpers, the wheel arches on the late model cars are lower, and the rear lights are larger. They went to the lower arches/larger lights in '88, but the plastic bumpers didn't come until '89.

                    Yay another Atlanta member.

That murdered out 3'r was tabasco. he had/has(idk) an e30 as well. And if the back of the wagon was sagging he had a keg in his keg holder, I'm jealous of that contraption.

Welcome to the board and hope to see youa round atlanta.
