(At least the owners here are cool dudes). You dont even have an E30. You know that the functionality of a car isnt true because youve sat in one? I too have sat in one, and it seemed more convenient than flipping forward the front seats in a coupe, especially when half the time the seats are broke on most R3v owners E30s. I don't know how you got that impression about Z owners as a group either: I've met many nice, friendly Z owners. I started this thread because I thought (perhaps), as car enthusiasts, some of the members here would be interested in a million dollar antique car blowing up on a dyno. They also made the Pulsar GTI-R, the Sentra SE-R spec V, 5 generations of Z cars, and they've been making skylines (above-average sports cars by any standards) since the 60s.

I'm a driver of said "useless" 4 door. The 4 door functionality is really there is no joke. I've needed to put things in my car and the rear two doors really made that easier. Trying sticking a plastic bumper or Reiger lip in the back of a car when all you can do is fold your seat just enough to let a 10 year old squeeze through there. And yes, the saying "4 doors for more whores" really is true. Maybe you can't fit in the backseat of a four door, but my girlfriend and her friends can. Shit I have a 6' 3" friend that fit in my backseat fine.

I have heard from many that the E30 sedan chassis is significantly stiffer than the E30 coupe chassis. Combine that with the functionality of a four-door, and it makes for a capable and practical choice. Thank you for your congratulations.

Correction. I'm an asshole. I'm NOT an idiot. And how does the story of my $6k z32 beating a ~$30k fully-custom turbocharged e30 from a 30 roll make me an "idiot". Functionality? The back seat of a 4-dr e30 is a joke. I know because I've sat in one. These acclaimed "many" from whom you have heard that the 4dr is stiffer than the 2dr.....are any of them mechanical engineers? Do yourself a favor and go fill out one of these, it'll make you feel better

Congradulations on your swap. Your car still probably makes less than 200hp. Now that we've got that out of the way...How are four doors better than two? There are very few 4 door cars that I consider sporting...I like the 4-door m3 and m5, and I like the new pontiac G8 and the Cadillac CTS-V....but srsly....when it comes to e30s, and most cars for that matter 2doors > 4.
