M3 sway bar drop links for non M e30?

I have heard of people putting M3 front sway bar droplinks in their non m3 suspension. What advantage does this provide? They dont seem too expensive of an upgrade for about 35 each.

The pickup point is moved from control arm to the strut housing so you have better (in most cases) sway bar activation. Ground control sells weld-on tabs for about $15 and you can use any E30 M3 length link with it. It's a nice upgrade in most cases.
