i wouldnt say snobs. i think dick or ass holes fits betterThe point is, no matter how slow you drive an m3, it'll never have the POTENTIAL to get 50mpg like a prius does.
I don't see where all of the Prius hate comes from. Sure, there are some "green snobs" who drive them, but have you looked at m3 or any new BMW drivers? They are some of the biggest snobs in the world. Somehow that never matters though...Leave a comment:

While it seems obvious to most people that driving a car aggressively will result in poor gas mileage, in my experience most Prius driver's just don't get it. They drive the piss out of the car, apparently thinking all the extra money they spent to have a tiny gasoline motor and a tiny electric motor will offset their led foot. Just two days ago on my way home from the beach, i was going about 85mph (on I-40) when i notice some fat bitch with her son in the car approaching exceedingly quickly, weaving in and out of traffic, and making a general ass of herself--in a Prius. I just moved into the right lane and laughed as she went by...what a waste of money.Leave a comment:

I love Top Gear and agree there is not a shred of Journalism there but I agree that a car pushed to it's limit will get bad mileage.Leave a comment:

Granted the Prius had to STRAIN to do what the M3 was cruising at, but still. This is pretty entertaining to say the LEAST.Leave a comment:

Wow, you mean to tell me that if you drive at WOT, you'll get bad gas mileage?

It is common sense but this is a big dick in the ass of Prius owners everywhere. And with a test to prove it.
And don't go telling me the BMW was drafting to save gas.Leave a comment:

I was just pointing it out to the previous poster.Sadly that article relies on numbers and facts from the CNW 'Dust to Dust' paper, which was widely regarded as bogus and unreliable. They made up a lot of numbers and, when pressed to show where they got their data from, folded and admitted they could not substantiate their numbers or many of their claims.
The fact it was in the Editorial & Opinion column of a small state university was enough for me to pass it off as anecdotal at best.Leave a comment:

Indeed. I love him to death and think he's pants-shitting funny, but he's not always 'reliable' when it comes to investigative journalism, or even just facts & reality ;)
