    Armrest brackets question...

I was wondering what material could you use to recreate the same bending and setup as the ones used on the armrest brackets.. I was hoping to use those brackets with another armrest.. the ones from the volvo's matches the interior of our cars..they have blacks, beige and gray. Plus the cup holders are for bigger size cups ;)

Sheet metal and a vice. Do the drilling first, and then paint it all crinkle black or have it powdercoated.

You will need aluminum or steel, if the material is to thick it will be hard to bend.
Out of which Volvo is the armrest from.

Good idea. Yeah, I would use some thin steel sheet. It's not worth paying for the aluminum. And like everyone said, just bend it in a vice. Make sure to measure carefully and all that bullshit. And protect it with something softer than steel when you're gripping on it in the vise.

Watch the cup holders on the Volvo armrests. They break rather frequently and not super strong with the way they hang out. I am on my 3rd set in a Volvo XC V70.
