Some SEM trim paint, a new shift knob and lose the pedals and you got one nice E30. Congrats on the new car by the way looks like it's going to be a fun project. What are your plans for it?

Oh and thanks for getting the car out of the hands of that owner before it started looking like a JDM Hyundai lolllll
    ha ha fer sure!!

you all can't tell by the pics, but by far the worst "rice" aspect about this car is the insanely loud muffler that makes this car sound just like a straight piped primered honda civic.

So that is step 1, get a stock muffler. Then, reverting the exterior trim back to stock, getting an iS front lip, and then later a whole new tan or black interior.

As far as plans after getting the car back to normal, i am planning on H&R sport springs, Bilstien sport shocks, and 16" wheels, maybe Borbets.

Long term plans, after i get done college (2 more yrs) rebuild and swap in my M50 straight-six that i have and other E36 parts. (i have a whole E36 parts car)

    here is me parts car:

From the build-up on the rear bumper, I'd suggest a full tune-up and a dose of Seafoam. And, you could swap that in in a weekend with a full parts car.

about the bumper: what? i'm not following.

about swap: i have never done a swap like this before, i thought it would be a long arduous project, i heard i need an E21 brake booster, a special aftermarket lower A-arm bushing piece to clear the exhaust, and an electric fan. The guy i talked to said his 1st M50 swap took 3 months. But he also said swaps he did after that took much less.

As long as your paing for an exhaust you might as well get a nice aftermarket one. Or even just a sebring can with a nice tip. They sound pretty good on m20's. Not sure about 4 bangers.

Farbin is talking about the black soot buildup from the exhaust that has stained the rear bumper and valence area. Looks to be running overly rich, so follow Farbin's advice and get it running properly.

You got your work cut out for you, but overall I think it should be fun!

that sounds like a good idea if i can find something aftermarket that is as cheap as a stock replacement
