    My Poor Poor Pristine e30.....

IS NOW DEAD. Yes it is true, some moron t-boned me and my pristine, mint, low mileage (64,000mi), 5spd, all original 89 325is with every record of its life including window sticker and original bill of sale, is toast and I am pissed. Basically, now I need your help. I need proof of the worth of my car in today's e30 market. The insurance company is only offering to give me about half of what it is worth. I have been battling with them constantly to get the value what a low mileage mint 325is should go for to no avail. If yall could provide any for sale threads/ads of 89 325is's it would be amazing. I am having serious issues finding them. It seems all low mileage mint examples are convertibles. And to answer your question in advance, car will be parted(pm for details). Any help would be SOOO greatly appreciated. Thanks
    -Tyler

What do you think it's worth?

Damn man, that sucks. I take it you and everyone are ok?

          I know it's a '90 but I saw this recently. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/car/749776482.html
AND I just noticed that he raised the price from last night, which was $3200! What do you want out of yours?

I sold my 89 325i with full "is" bits and 240 on the clock for 6k. Food for thought.

That car would go for 5k+ up here in washington if its as clean as you say it was.

I would say your car is worth about 3-4k dollars. Realistically. You cant expect the insurance company to give you twice what it books. Life doesnt work like that.

NOW, if you had a ton of aftermarket parts on it, or OEM stuff from an M3 or Mtech kit etc.. You could justify it. Sorry man. Looked like a nice car.
Can you not repair it? or did the frame get tweaked real bad?

Damn, what a shame. 64k mi, it was still being broken in. I don't know much more about the car other than the mileage and the fact that it appears to be fairly stock (which is a plus when selling a car with that kind of mileage,) I'd say $6.5-7k would have been perfectly achievable. I'll try to look for some recent ads for low-mileage E30's.

I agree with TDE30 on this one...that car would easily bring $6-7k if it was forsale, and I promise you there are people out there willing to pay more for a pristine low mileage E30, especially an iS.

People talk about the rising values of E30 M3's...the fact is, it is much easier to find a nice M3 than it is to find a nice, pristine regular E30. It's just the way it is.

                      Nice car.. $3-4k? lol

More like $7-8k if it's as nice as you say.

Sorry about the car, and good luck in finding what you're after

Sorry about your loss, not many pristine examples around these days.

I agree with everyone saying 7-8k. That seems to be accurate for a low mileage pristine example. They are getting harder to find.

I actually paid $7,500 for my Zender 323i with 61k. It is (was) pristine.

Seriously, they aren't going to budge. I had this problem when my 2002 got totalled. File suit and collect the rest that way.
