I know this thread exists somewhere, but i just want people tell me what are good places to get parts from. New parts like timing belt kits and such maintenance parts. Ever since Euro doubled dollar, local shops that use WorldPAC got very expensive and AutoZone had cheaper parts (with BMW part number) made in Mexico by Johnson Controls. Since JC makes a whole of parts for all cars, I do not see a problem with their quality, but if I could find quality OE parts at competitive price, I'd love to have the real thing.

I've not gotten anything from him YET, but I have to admit with a name like Blunt, I would normally have second guessed buying parts from him.............Untill I saw pictures of his S14 powered 2002. Obviously good craftsmanship/attention to detail.....sigpic

Yes, but sometimes the parts you get aren't OEM and are inferior. I've bought a few grand worth of stuff from BMA, but some of the stuff I ended up replacing for that reason.
So, just make sure you pay a little extra and request/confirm OEM parts. Patrick is a good guy as well.Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205
