    Need Help in Boston Area...

    Hey,

I am changing all the suspension on the E30, and was wondering if anyone had a spring compressor I could come pick up tomorrow to do the front end?

I live in Lexington, and would be willing to drive 30-40 minutes....anyone?

    Thanks,

    Hootie

what springs did you get? you might not even "need" a compressor.

I got H and R Race...Well I need a compressor to get the old ones out. And If anyone around me knows how to weld that would help too (Sway install)...I would pay in cash/beer

Be safe. Rent a compressor. It is, you know, free. Make sure you specify exactly what kind of work you're doing so you can get the right compressor.

Yes, unless I want to run 2 springs at once.

Yeah I rented one from Autozone. But I still need someone who knows how to weld...

I assume you mean the mounting tabs for sways. check some online resources for welding, it's tough to get penetration correctly at first. (that's what she said)

Also, what welder are you using? Harbor freight buzzbox?

umm using a Clarke MIG 160EN. My brother bought it about 3 years ago and finally it came into use. Yeah these are for the mounting tabs, I already welded a reinforcement plate in the top and an extra triangle plate for the bottom. Now for the fronts!

The thats what she said joke was noted and was hilarious.
