    Stroker Status - Parts Collection

Well, the parts are finally coming together for the stroker. Here are some pics of various parts ready to go.

    Super ETA Pstons and Rods

    Dirty Block

    Cleaned Block

    Cleaned Cylinder Head

    Ported Intakes

I've also recieved the 274 cam, head set, lower end set, and am awaiting an intake manifold so that I can port match it to the head. I'll likely start assembling the head over the next couple weeks and once completed, begin work on the bottom end. Just waiting to see if I can obtain euro pistons before I buy rings, but that's all I need to finish at this point. I'll keep everyone posted.

nice...very very nice. What CR are you aiming for? Which CAM are you going with. Are you getting a custom chip or going with a stand-alone?

Looking for about 10.0:1 but I'll settle for anything over 9.5:1. The super eta will only yeild about 9:1 max if I shave/deck. I had an extra "i" cam reground to 274 using the specs from Korman. Costs under $150 shipped so if I like the performance and it gives me problems, I'll know whether to go more agressive or not when I buy a new one. I'll likely drop the stock chip back into the car once its complete until I test it. If I need to begin to tweak things, I'll likely go with a stand-alone, but I've started to look at custom intakes and possibly a carb/distributor set-up (it'll eventually be taken off the road for track use). Any suggestions on stand-alone units? Haven't really thought that far ahead.

Nice I need to get pics of all the parts I have laying around as I have a whole self in the attic with all my parts on it from brackets to sensors.

Most of the smaller parts will be coming from the engine in the car. I don't have much space. The block is sitting on my desk and the head on my only workbench. I'll start assembling the head soon so that will get rid of a few boxes of parts on the floor at least.
