Found something interesting in one of my new sport seats...

I got a pair of sport seats that Im recovering with rob, but the passenger side is in pretty good condition and is black, so i decided to clean it up and put it in. So i cleaned it, black leather polished it, and as I was taking it off the stand, a coin fell out. I thought it was a penny, but i picked it up, and it was 10 pfenning from 1977. I just thought it was interesting that a coin must have been dropped into the seat when the car was made, and now I found it. Just thought it was strange and cool and figured i'd share.

My story is not as good as yours but ill share anyway.

When I got the car, I decided to clean the inside of the car really well. As I went through the trunk, taking off the liners, jacks etc, I found a receit from a auto parts store from 1991 when the previous owner bought some cleaning supplies... i thought that was pretty cool haha

EDIT: I guess he was not the expert at cleaning the interior of the car

A buddie of mine that works at an auto detailing store has found like dildos and stuff. On that note, a chick friend of mine fond one in a pair of pants at the drycleaners she works at.

I took out my seat and found $10, not a bad 20 minutes.

I found a Gerber knife under one of my seats... my friend bought an MR2 and discovered a crack pipe hidden in the center console.

"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

i bought a '69 Volkswagen Bug several years ago to restore...

we pulled the carpets out and discovered what appeared to
be a $20 bill folded up and tucked under the drivers seat...
it was rusty brown, stuck to itself and we were not able to
unfold it...i took it to the bank...they placed it in some type of
specimen baggy and sent it off to the US Treasury...about 6
weeks later, they called me into the bank and gave me a new
                $20 bill...

apparently, the government had to verify that it was indeed a
complete $20 bill and not half of one...it would take a long time,
but that would be a quick way to double your money!

my manual has euroipean delivery stickers on it leading me to believe that it has been driven on 2 continents 8) i guess i found that.

on another note i found a little toggle switch in the glovebox that is wired to the fuel pump and when tripped it shuts it off. that was a pretty wierd find.

Pete(Oreo) has this same switch I think. But located under the steering column.

The only reason I remember is bc one time he couldnt start his car and he looked at everything possible in the engine bay, but later found the switch to be tripped.

Someone on BEN a few years ago found a small glass weedpipe in the center console. It fell out of that hole above the crap tray while he was trying to remove the console to get to the OBC.

The freaky thing is he said it was a one owner car and the guy was a really old man,

My buddy dan found pictures of a mexican man holding an AK47 in front of a fireplace in the back of his 240.

Speaking of finding things I like to visit this Euro race shop that used to be a BMW dealer back in the 80s. He has all this storage and when he has his son clean it out I get the swag. I got those massive RD swaybars (that were dicontinued in the early 90s) and braces. I also got a snazzy red t-shirt from 1987 that was still in the plastic wrap.
                            Im now E30less.
