WHAT? rethink that scabzzzz. With small runners, smaller injectors, less friction, eta motors are awesome on gas. The only problem that was fixed with "i" was the idling.
When properly tuned, m40's can't touch 2.7e's. Not to mention larger diff. gear (2.93), numerically smaller, which allows for higher speed and further better gas mileage.

You are so ignorant, you don't even know the right engine code for US 318i's (M42).

alot of you are suggesting the 318i sedan...now my only question with that is, does it have better gas mileage than the 325eta? also would the is model of that il4 have the same extras as the 325is? as in lsd, leather, etc?
Leather? IMHO, all leather will get you is a cracked, ragged, ugly interior.
I doubt many sedans were optioned with a LSD.

Dont look for a 318i sedan. Early ones are weak, later ones are over your budget. Get a 325e, dont worry about the diff or leather seats. Swap those in later when you find the ones you want.
