I can not stand the thought of a 18 year old explosive staring me in the face... Might end up looking like I was in a bar brawl for no reason.
    lol or a beach fight.

Like I touched upon, if anyone wants to keep their airbag bmw still sells the updated bag insert. Idk how much better it is but I know its expensive.

318 will not get that much worse gas milage. My 318is sometimes gets better milage then my ETA. It all depends on how you drive.

I'm thinking minivan then. e30s don't exactly scream kid transportation.

But seriously, how many of you would trust a 1st gen airbag in an e30. Anyone (besides danny :-D) ever feel the material? its terrible and how many people do you think replaced the bag every 5 years like bmw recommended?

Airbags are good things. Just not a underdeveloped airbag that has literally been fixed into a none airbag car aka : the E30
I wasn't talking e30 airbags, I don't have an e30 bag either, as I have been hit by an old shitty airbag, and it wasn't pleasant. However, I've been hit by a new airbag, and i walked away with no problems in an instant where I should have been injured.

This is what you said, which leads me to believe you think every car that has airbags should have them deleted. I

Glad to hear it. I am sure their safety standards meet or exceed that of a Honda Oddessy or a Subaru Outback or anything with side-curtian airbags. Which would you rather be in when an 88 caprice classic t-bones you?
Ask your boss that question. What does his wife drive?

The kids ARE the airbags, you walk away without a scratch and well....oh wait we are trying to save the kids? E30 may not be the best choice then, but then again with the handling you can just avoid any crashes.

I take what Jeremy Clarkson said about TVR as good advise:

                          "well then don't wreck it..."

I've seen her drive all three. They have a suburban for a long trips and a Dogde truck for towing the race cars too though. And then there's the garage with countless classics but the kids aren't usually in those.

Out the three originally mentioned cars, I would take the 633 against the '88 Caprice. It's solid and has some weight behind it to fight back.

So hey there Jetgirl, are you actually going to join in on the whole "community" aspect of this stupid place we all seem to spend so much time in, or just post an introductory thread and split, as so many have before you?

The only female here to speak of is Kellie, who is a BMW Master Tech, AFAIK the only female one in the world. She really does not post much, either.

So far, the last "girl" who actually got involved here turned out to be a post-surgery sex changed person (whatever the hell you call them) and the last one before that married the founder of this site.

So, get to posting your opinions and ideas, or just vent your spleen or something, just join in. Yeah, we harass the fuck out of idiots, so don't be one.

                                Oh yeah, Welcome to R3V.
