Garage remodel starts now - any ideas?

I bought this house about a year ago, and I'm finally ready to remodel the two car garage.

I don't need a lift or a welder (friends have them) but I would like to make the place functional while possessing a high degree of style.

I'm planning to build a much larger garage for serious work/projects in my back yard, while this one will be for hanging out, drinking adult beverages, and waxing/polishing/bullshitting.

I already have a maple topped 6 foot workbench on the way, two stainless mortician's chairs, 3 sets of Metrowire shelves, a tall kitchen cabinet that will house TV & old school stereo, and a 40 inch wide Crafstman toolbox.

The garage is fully sheetrocked, and has two man doors, two tall, skinny windows, and one 9 foot wide garage door. It needs interior paint badly.

I don't even know where to start. I need ideas, por favor.

I'd look into a place for a cheap computer. Especially workin on the m50 swap, made me nervous w/ my laptop sittin ontop of my pickup next to the car. Definitely an oldschool fridge is in order, pinstriped and all. Figure out paint soon, easiest I'd say so you can just put everything in afterwards. Also lots of shelves for parts. Got so many parts and no shelves to put em on at home.

I have an old school HP that has a decent soundcard and Polk Audio speakers that'll be set up on one end of the workbench.

I've also thought about the fridge thing. I may do one of these http://www.after5catalog.com/toolbox...tml?cPath=1_15

Apply one of those garage floor coatings while you have everything out.

Put a bathroom in with a urinal! Guys only! Buddy put one in his garage, it was the best mod in the garage.

Also what about water hook up for those wash/wax get togethers you mentioned?

            1. Resurface the floor, install some in-floor lights, then epoxy it white! I say white because it adds a huge amount of visibility to the underside of your car and it makes it easier to find dropped nuts and bolts. It also makes the garage look bigger/brighter. Don't worry about cleaning it, it wont stain at all. just hose er' down.

            2. Paint the walls any bright color you can. This lowers the cost of energy for lights and stuff. Plus it adds a feel good enviorment for guest and working on your car.

            3. Install the aircompressor, run the piping, install the air tool shelf!

            4. Install the central vacuum unit, run the piping.

            5. Install a water outlet and drain and then a parts tub/sink! comes in handy!

            6. Put some insulation on the back of that garage door and some sound proofing, then move over to one of those windows and put in that $75 Air conditioner you just bought from sears.

            7. WHATS MORE COOLER THAN AN INTERCOM! Put that in there. "honey? can you bring me another hieneken?" yea.... You wan't it now don't you?

            8. Run an internet connection and grab a laptop and dock it in there.

I'm basicly just mocking my garage setup. Our house came with most of this stuff but I added the a/c and intercom. It's been my dream garage ever since. Also try to put some outlets in the ceiling. They come in handy.

You dont need a bathroom for a urinal! Just mount it on the wall, you are good to go. :)

                        Is there an attic?

Some sort of hoist or dumbwaiter to lift heavy parts up top is a great way to maximize storage - winter wheels, engine hoists, spare parts, etc etc can all be kept out of the way without breaking your back.
