Vehicle Title question....need some help here

Ok, so I'm looking at this 1989 325i M-Tech II near me and I ran the VIN# on Autocheck.com .The history came back kinda depressing. This is what I got:

    04/20/1989 JACKSONVILLE, FL
US Dept. Of Transportation IMPORTED TO THE US / VEHICLE ORIGINALLY MANUFACTURED FOR NON US MARKET

    07/13/1989 JACKSONVILLE, FL

US Dept. Of Transportation PASSED US ROAD INSPECTION / BOND RELEASED

    04/23/1990 FL
    3,391

Motor Vehicle Dept. ODOMETER READING FROM DMV

    05/15/1990 ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL
Motor Vehicle Dept. TITLE (Title #:********)

    11/30/1990 FL
State Agency FRONT IMPACT WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE (Case #:********)

    10/29/2007 ORLANDO, FL
Motor Vehicle Dept. TITLE (Title #:********)
    EXCLUDED/EXEMPT

    04/18/2008 ORLANDO, FL
Motor Vehicle Dept. TITLE (Title #:********)
    EXCLUDED/EXEMPT

04/22/2008 ORLANDO, FL Motor Vehicle Dept. REGISTRATION EVENT/RENEWAL
    EXCLUDED/EXEMPT

WTF is EXCLUDED/EXEMPT mean for this vehicle? Any help here?

Does FL require a title on a car older than a certain age? VT does not - so we get that quite a bit.
'89 "is" = M technic II build mode.

since this shit is different from state to state, I'm gonna guess it's EXEMPT from mileage reporting once the vehicle reaches a certain age. In NC it's 10 years old or older does not need to report mileage when the title is transferred.

What's so wrong with that report, besides the fact that it's a grey market car (could be a big deal, but maybe not) and that it's got accident history? It doesn't look like it was ever totalled.

what makes it off to me is that after the front end collision, nothing happened for 17 years in the cars history.....

i guess i can see the relation of mileage being "exempt", but of the 3 or 4 e30's that ive run this test on, theyve come up with mileage. now, there will be a disclaimer that the mileage doesnt really matter because the vehicle is older than 10 years, but the mileage will be there.

either way, i think someone else is buying the car tomorrow anyways. :(
