    My ix almost smiles.....

so i picked up a set of hella smilies and heres what i did today..i rigged up the wiring so tommorrow im just gonna cut the sealed beam plug-in off, then crimp some male and female connectors to the end...and plug the lights right in.

the smilies with chrome rings. there going in my euro grilles.....this is my old set of us's

city lights hooked up to a 9v, rings removed and being prepped

supplies; wiring, connectors, shrink wrap, heat gun, writeup, etc.

first i painted the rings satin black

after i extended the wires, sodered on the male and female connectors, shrink wrap, and a layer of electrical tape. i connected the males and females cause i felt like it....:pimp:

after i did that, and used a volt meter to make sure the power actually went through the wires lol, i finished all the other wires. for the city light wire up i extended it about 2 feet and put it in that insulating snappy wrap crap...

    with freshly painted black rings:

tommorrow ill hopefully install and take some finished pics...if the rain ever stops

i know its not a big deal and everyone has ellipsoids, but ive been putting them off for a good year now til everything was mechanically sound, so im really excited :D

Looks really great. The setup looks awesome with the black trim rings. City lights are dope too, you should use a whiter type light instead of that yellow ish light.

well there just old burnt out bulbs in there, and only hooked up to a 9v battery so they suck. i may put in orange bulbs in so they match the side markers so they stand out more. im not sure yet though....

thanks for the comments guys :)

just grabbed some night shots..i need to adjust the beams tommorrow but wow...the lows were like my old highs! so bright and clear..and the highs make it seem like a tunnel of light down the entire road. i still need to solder a lin from the high and low beam relays so the lows stay on ofr the highs but....a great mod. i couldnt be happier :p

Pull relay K4 and solder a piece of wire from pin 87 to 30
