Used Oil pump?

This probably belongs in the 24v section. But i think its a pretty general question.

How many of you guys are running USED oil pump in your s5x m5x swaps?

I ask because im paranoid. I havent driven the car but down the street a few times(runs great). And it occured to me that the pump Could be bad. Thats more than enough doubt for me to invest in a oil pressure gauge tomm to make sure. Yes yes, I know. I should have used a new one. But money wouldnt allow atm. It came with the oil pan,pickup,etc. And seemed to be in great shape.

-anywho, did you clean out the pump well? Did you inspect it for wear/damage?

I did clean it very well. And checked for anything out of the ordinary. I even poured some oil in the pump and rotated it. It seemed to push the oil pretty well and i figured that would keep it from running dry for even a split second.
