    Vert Owners

Hey guys, I really need pictures of the power top setup.

The absolutely gorgeous MTech 'vert I am working on has no power top, and I want to make sure the box I design will work on a power top.

Preliminary specs look like a single 10 in a bandpass box, might have only a single 4" port going into the cabin...don't know yet, still working on the math/fitment issues.

I want the smallest bit of metal cutting possible!

    Luke

My dad has one, do you need pics of the inside of the trunk or from inside the area where the top goes.

could you make another as well? I have a roll of carbon fiber I would trade for a well designed box for the cabbie. The roll has about 30 linar yards on it and it is a yard and 1/2 across.

If by steal, you mean "reuse an idea that the old fucker first built while I was sucking on my Momma's tit back in 1983 or so" then yeah, I suppose so.

Don't forget...us old potheads already did it, we just can't remember how.

But...back to MY quesztion...I don't know where the motor assembly is, so that is what I need a pic of. I think, anyway...fuck, I just want to know if the motor is gonna be in the way.

And yeah, I will likely build a dozen, total. I dunno, looks like a big old pain in the butt so far.

One motor mounts on the vertical part of the top storage bin (you can see the holes behind the carpet). The other mounts on the underside, as does the computer controller box and wiring harness. The mounting holes should all still be there for reference. Sorry, but I never took any picures of them installed since they were the first thing to come out.

So that is what all that crap is? I thought so, but hadn't called you yet.

OK, so that being the case, fuck sub boxes for power tops.

The math for this thing is a bitch.

IIRC, most of the power top bits are on the passengers side of the car. So if you could make the sub box fit more towards the driver's side it might be possible.

Hes right, the e30 auto top is probably the worst convertible top I have ever had to use. I liked to call it semi-automatic.
