Thinking of Purchasing - Have you seen this car? -pics-

Well, I'm thinking of purchasing this car. Can anyone tell me what the wheels are? Knock off's? Also, what's your assessment of the headlights. The blemish above the glove box kills me for some reason. Does the suspension look stock from what you can tell. And last but not least, has anyone seen this car or know any of it's history? 114,000 miles, clean carfax, he's firm on $4700. Sorry if this is annoying, but it's out of state, and looking for an experts eye to give any details I can't see with my lack of experience.

Thoughts: Wheels are Alpina knockoffs, but not Kopis. They may even be genuine with decals missing...I'll leave that to the experts. The headlights are hideous, but an easy fix. The dash is $100 and an afternoon, so don't let that dissuade you. Paint looks good, and it's a rare color. I've never seen a cabrio with a 6 button OBC before, and it looks like it has vinyl sport seats in it, not leather. Is it a 318?

If it has a good top on it, it might be worth it. Seems too steep to me, though. Does it come with stacks of paperwork?

Yeah, i thought verts came with m3 seats, what are those vinyls doing in there? If those are not alpinas, then those wheels are darn good replicas.

            Looks good, love the color.

Sounds like a good price to me for a plastic bumpered vert. If the top is in good shape I would go for it.

color is great, and paint looks minty fresh. mods are uneducated attempts at modding.

How simple is the light exchange? was wiring modded to do that , that needs to be modded again to get stock looks back?

No paperwork, it is a 318ic, how much harm could you do to that engine though, I've heard several people refer to it as "bulletproof". However that's probably a stupid question :)

Yea but it looks pretty clean, here's some engine and a shock shot. Although obviously pressure cleaned. The other option is a stock, 2nd owner 318ic green with tan interior, just a little bit worn, but not bad for $3300 bad top though.

I don't know if I swapped out the wheels for bottlecaps, redid the dash (paid someone to do it, don't have patience) and swap out the headlights, I can't imagine it being more than $1000 for all that?

Also, I hear the 318 is a quick little car, lighter, better handling, and obviously much better on gas.

I'm in full blown OCD mode in making this decision, so i apologize for my inexperience and 20 questions, thanks for the comments thus far.

The blue one kicks the shit out of the green one. The wheels are OK, the color combo is tits, the interior is nice, and the paint looks good. The headlights are the only really bad part about it.

The price needs work. I'd buy it at $4K if it checks out in the flesh.
