Keep the 325iC or sell and buy a 320iC??

I recently acquired a mint condition blue 1988 325iC with 60,000 miles that originally came from Japan with cloth interior and the cool analog clock.

While searching for parts I came across an equally clean burgundy 1990 Euro spec 320iC with 84,000 miles, leather interior and factory hardtop.

So am crazy to think I should sell the 325 and buy the 320 instead? The end cost would pretty much be dead even so price isn't a factor.

Just trying to find out why this 320 is causing such an itch.

Here are pics of each car

if the cars truly are equally clean with comparable interior i'd jump all over the 320.
something to consider strongly if you really are going to break even either way on this deal is the hardtop. if the gaskets are in good condition or at least decent to look at and still function- big plus! they are spendy and awesome, so it's very nice to get one as part of a car deal.
opinion-wise i personally like burgundrot better. however, i like your cloth seats much more than leather. those are baller as all hell

if you could somehow work an interior swap into the deal and have the burgundy car with the plaid interior AND the hardtop? stealsville

Get them both. Verts are like drugs; the more you get, the more you want.

Performance-wise, the 320i is really, really slow. Looks-wise, though, it looks to be in great condition.

                I'd keep the 325.

x2, especially if it has the hardtop.

BTW, anyone ever seen that lip mounted on a late model valance????

I picked up the vert for a fun second car that is decent on gas an looks great. If I wanted to go fast I have my Audi to take car of that need.

The car for me is a city/highway cruiser so is the 2.0L adequate for this purpose? I have not driven one before so I'd hope for some advice on this.

This has crossed my mind. And I think a low mileage 325ic with a leather interior would be an easy resell.

A 320 is not underpowered, it feels fairly torquey even though not as much as the 325. I drove many in Europe and they are fun.
I personally like the 325 you got, the hardtop is nice to have though.
I wouldn't go through the hassle of changing cars and would keep the 325

320i uses as much if not more gas as a 325i and has less power
I'd buy the 320i, steal it's seats, hard top and rims put them on the 325i and sell the 320i with the bottle caps/crappy int, etc.

                            that's an early valence ;-)

I know. I'm wondering if anyone has seen the lip on the 320i (which has the early valance like you said), on a late model valance. I ask because i have one on the way, and was wondering about fitment issues.

BTW, I think its funny how focused I was on the E30, I didn't notice the rear shot of your badass Avant. Got any more pics of that?
