Why no Harbor Freight fender roller?

I need a tire roller, but the Eastman unit at $200+ seems stupidly overpriced. Doesn't this sound like the type of simple tool that Harbor Freight could offer for say, $30 or so? How do you make suggestions to HF for future products?

    Doubtful...

I think there are a few on here who will rent theirs out to you for a deposit plus a minimal fee.

If you just want a one time use out of it check an auto body shop to see if you could rent one.

There is nothing that anyone needs to buy at HF. I just went thru 4 4" grinder/polisher combos. Went and got a cheapo craftsman for 20 bucks more.

I own one of the Eastwood rollers.

I have never seen anything sold at HF to be anywhere near the quality of the Eastwood unit, and if it were worse quality, it would not do the job on some cars.

200 bucks isn't bad at all. The guy that rolled mine bought his brand new for close to 400. It makes the job more precise and a lot easier. Just fork out the money for it and don't look back. You can also make your money back if you are smart and rent it out.

Harbor freight is good for things you don't rely on like wire strippers, screwdrivers, o ring picks. The things that are ok if you break them or lose them. I personally wouldn't trust a fender roller from harbor freight but their socket sets and end wrenches last a good amount of time. The only problem I have with some of their tools is that they aren't a precise size. Like a 19mm is really like 19.25mm. They are a little off but they get the job done.

I have used the eastwood roller myself on my car and it works great if you remove the brake caliper carrier. I didn't use a heat gun cause paint is next. I easily got another inch and a half out of my front fenders.
When you roll you have to have lots of time and patience. Time yeah got plenty of that, patience not so much. Both of my front fenders are no longer wrinkle less and are fucked up because I got impatient and aggressive.
So the lesson here is to take your time and you wont have to do hours of body work to fix a fuck up that could have been avoided.

whats up with all the HF haters? I have no issues with my engine hoist and stand and ive had both for a couple of years, and gotten more than enough use out of them to justify the purchase.
