Doesn't he realize it's BMW forum, most of us hate Jap cars, which is why we drive bimmers?

Really? We do? I don't hate them if they are done right. Since over 80% are NOT done up right, you are correct in saying that we have a bit of a hatred/skepticism of them. But for the rest that are done up the right way, I have to give props. To say that we hate all Japanese cars is a bit much, don't you think?

I certainly don't hate Japanese cars. I just hate dumb ricer cars. And their dumb ricer drivers.

There are several japanese cars I would gladly own: Lexus IS-F, Nissan GTR, Honda NSX, etc...

You my friend, must be real dull to hang around with. This car isn´t meant to be a daily driver. Hell, it isn´t even road legal for obvious reasons. It was only made for having fun with. Not to pick up chicks.

The owner could probably dent it for the fun of it. Every project shouldn´t have to be serious. There are other projects for that.

Like this other, which I found on the same site.

Best use ever of a S38? I think so...

By the way, I´m firstly a car buff and second a Bmw fanatic. I also like muscle cars, and most imports among other stuff. I can agree that some would classify as rice but not that s14, though I wouldn´t build it looking exactly like that myself. I can only stand to look at stock E30s with basketweaves and wow about it for so long.

What I´m trying to say is, although this is a bmw E30 site (Which is why I registered here in the first place), there s no real need to bash anything else so violently.

My ex used to have something that looked similar to that radiator hose, but the use was COMPLETELY different ;)

What's so great about that? I see those all the time.. And that one isnt even clean/nice.

So that means that you have put an equal amount of time and money on your car? And sure, the rb26-swap has been done before, but I have to laugh when you say " I see those all the time..".

Here is his build thread. Look it through before you say it hasn´t been done well.

I'm sure it's well done. I just think the front bumper covered in chicken wire, and the color, are hideous.

I absolutely agree with you. Those are the first two things I would do differently if I´d ever do one of these things.

It reminds me of those Nurburgring frequents who have a stupidly nice car but dumb it down with eBay lights and E46 M3 side grilles and crap. Sure any of those cars are very nice and would make any of us in the States splooge our pants, but why do they cheap out on relatively small shit.
