    Question about 4dr's

Is there any more legroom in the backseat area in a 4dr as opposed to a 2dr?
    Of course I mean E30's.

    It's about the same.

Depends on how tall you are. If the driver is short in a 2 door, TONS of leg room. If not, not much to brag about. Sport seats kill more space too for some reason. In a 4 door, theres not much leg room period, in my humble 4 door owner opinion.

Not really different, just easier to get in and out.

Exactly the same legroom. Nothing is different except being able to get in/out easier. If you want more legroom, get an e34.

It's the same length car, just more doors. Like groupie said, easier to get in and out.

If you are looking at an e30 as a people carrier - you are looking at the wrong car IMHO.

Plentiful, very close to that of an E34 or E28 IMO.

I can count the amount of times I've had more then 2 people in my car on 1 hand. People complain, so I make them walk. I'm 6"2 and my seat sits far back.

I waited and waited for the right four door E30 to come along, then doggedly pursued the owner 'till he sold it to me. It's perfect for a "family sedan" when you know you only need your car to be family-friendly some of the time.

                      .

                      E30 24V 6MT SOLD :( - look for it in sunny Miami :)

If you put the E30 sedans next to an E28 or E34, you'll notice they only area where they really suffer is the trunk space. I have no complaints about my trunk space, nor my rear leg room, so I'd say it's a great candidate for a fairly economical family hauler.

4 doors are better in every aspect!!:p They are 100 lbs. lighter and have 15 extra hp! And they hold more whores!

^^That's funny! I was looking at a 4dr at the wrecking yard but the interior was nice enough someone took it ALL. There was nothing to gauge distance with. I was thinking of talking my folks into getting one. Seeings how I can work on them OK now.
Every now and again they want me to go somewhere with them and if I sit behind my Mom the legroom is OK for a short haul. So we'll see.
Thanks for all the input guys.

Rear seat legroom? in an e30? Ha, thats a good one. My seats were touching the back seats in my 325ic. Great legroom for the driver though, I am 6'2 and never felt uncomfortable in mine. By comparison my e36 318ti, the 2 door shortened hatchback, fits a few girls in the back just fine. But the drivers seat in the 318ti is less comfortable than my e30 seats, less legroom and less support. I have the sport seats in both.
