    Help with wheel repair

I ended up buying the ACS wheels from my buddy and now I need to get them repolished and fixed from all those years of curbrash, small dents and scratches.

Does anyone have a good source for wheel repair in the L.A. area?. Tt seems that most shop prices usually start at about $100 dollars plus.

Can you help me find a cheaper shop with better or more reasonable prices? I'm not looking to chrome my wheels therefore $100 per wheel is too rich for my blood!

    TIA,

    Edwin

Should have looked into it before you bought the wheels.

Even out here in super cheap Oklahoma it costs a minimum $80-90 a wheel to get refinished. I paid $375 to have my 17" Works dings and stuff bodyworked and repainted.

Powdercoating was going to be $125 a wheel minimum.

That is the going rate for wheel refinishing. I just paid that per wheel as well for refinishing just last week on some something somethings I picked up...

Got to pay to play unless it is something you can do yourself...

I understand that it's not necessarily cheap to have them redone, but any monies I can save will help.

The local powder coat place here charges $40 a wheel for powder coat (including media blasting before hand) per wheel and $50 if you want clear over the top of the color. That of course doesn't include fixing problems though.

I think i paid $80 to have a motorcycle wheel polished a couple years back which is basically like doing 2 car wheels. I have a friend of a friend with a local wheel repair spot. I'll see if i can get his info.
