    Fix motor, or rebuild?

    Hey guys,

So, the new car i just bought is leaking oil from what looks like to be the rear main seal. I will get it on a rack tommorow to get it checked out...However, it will need to do a timing belt and the 60k maintenence pretty soon, and the motor has about 200+k on it.

This is my daily driver, i just bought it 800bucks like 2 weeks ago(looked good no oil leaks)....What do you guys reccomend? Should i go ahead and get it fixed? Or, save the labor costs and just do a rebuild or a swap? I plan on daily driving this car, and am a little strapped for cash. How much do rear main seals usually cost? How many hours etc.

    Let me know your oppinions,

    THanks

Find a decent used motor, refresh it with new valve guide seals, fresh front and rear crank seals, etc. and swap it in.

Or just do a motor swap. M30 is fun as hell, fairly cheap and reliable.

All kinds of 24V options can be done, but far more money to equal the power of an M30.
