My $400 1987 325ic will need a black top one of these days. It has a GAHH top on it now that is just about worn out. Are there any decent vendors other than GAHH? Should I preemptively replace the straps, seals and cables while it's apart? SHould this car have a headliner? Mine just has the underside of the top cover itself, with some sort of pattern in the material. My top is some sort of canvas/sailcloth...I found a vendor who sells a vinyl top instead, for about $275 for the top...good idea or no?
