    1989 BMW M5 cabrio

    I don't like it.

///M - The one and only M5 convertible. - Sorry, I do not have the source, but In 1989, Motorsport engineers developed an M5 convertible, with two lengthened front doors and seating for four. It really did come very close to production - a price of 50,000 GBP was agreed, and space was even booked at the Geneva motor...

can't believe they never went to production on that, it's awsome! That reason is wack, worried about to much competition from themselves!?

Needs moar M System I's. I never did like that E34 cabrio all that much, but the seats (E31 perhaps,) are ill.

Don't really like it, I did like those older E class convertables.

Anyone have pictures of the E38 that was made into a convertible by a custom coach builder. I would take that over any Bentley for a GT car.

I'm kinda 50 / 50 on it. I like the idea, but I don't like how long the back half looks after to doors. But I'd drive it every day if I had the chance.

Looks like a cool concept, but marketing guys probably did their homework - it would be a sweet GT type trip car, but it might have been an albatross @ that $$$.

I'm glad the E30M3 ragtop saw daylight over this thing though, can't really say why. It sounds like this thing would have been right in the same price / self-competition range back then.

Cool footnote in BMW concept cars though.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.
