Can we get a convertible top/frame/window issue subforum?

I wouldn't call Convertible tops and frame work common problems overall to the E30.

I wouldn't see a problem with having a separate forum dedicated to the convertible chassis, this would encompass all problems directly unique to the convertibles such as the folding frame structure, top repairs, cleaning tips, etc..

Convertible top frame repairs are difficult and very few shops will do the work. Lots of shops will do a new top, but not repair the frames. Only one shop I know of in Socal that specializes in Convertible tops and frame repair, thats AAA convertible in Costa Mesa, CA.

Point being, a Convertible is a separate E30 species and a separate forum would be a good thing for vert owners.
