I raced an old civic hatch, the boxy one, with a b18 on the freeway, he won :( That was at 11pm new years eve, so my new years resolution was not to lose to any civics, so far I'm 3/3 not that anyone really cares

They're quick little cars when done right. This one's staying looking basically the exact way it is now.

Those are B16s. 1.6L. Integras got the bump to 1.8L, and wilder cams. Hence the extra 10hp.

How much does that motor weigh? And isn't weight between those two cars, civics and integras pretty similar? Or did they really have to strip down the ITR to get it down to what it was, somewhere around 2500 lbs. right?

It's not out of an ITR. It's out of an Integra GSR. The Type R is the same motor basically B18C5 in the ITR and a B18C1 in the GSR. The difference is the cams and a couple other things. The ITR cams bolt into the GSR engine.

The integra type R is a stripped down integra. It has no sound deadening, no sun roof, some lighter parts I think and better suspension.

-yup, like a five-lug susp and bigger brakes. ITR = e30m3 of the hondas

-CR was a tad higher on the b18c5, iirc, too

I know its not a Type R. I was thinking regular Integras and Civics are pretty similar in weight so why is a swapped civic faster than an Integra.
