    M-TECH 2 Options....IN USA

I may have asked this before but don't remember getting any definitive answer.
I understand that in other countries an IS model recvd M-Tech body kits from the factory.
    We however did not......
My question is, could this body kit be purchased and installed (at the dealer) on a new car model? Before the sale.

Yes, it bolts over top of the existing pieces.

I don't believe it could be ordered as an option, otherwise it no doubt would have been by some people. I think it only came on the 91-92 M-tech convertibles, and was part of the package.

Oh, forgot you meant in North America. It might have been, but it wasn't cheap back then either. They installed a lot of other parts like spoilers, lips, AC, etc at the dealer though.

And THAT is what I was looking for. A model that came with the bits from either the factory or dealer.....

Where the Mtech convertibles built from the factory this way or something that dealerships installed......

          THANK YOU FOR THE INFO:D

            Not dealer installed.

Maybe you have them already, but here's a couple links.

If you look in the "complete cars for sale" section, there's a discussion about one for sale that you might find interesting.

Yup, exactly. The m-tech cars came that way from the factory. I don't think BMW NA offered factory-installed m-tech kits.
