Car smashing... anyone want to help!?

    Hey folks,

So I am pretty damn close to completely stripping all salvageable parts from my parts car. And rather than pay to have it towed away to some junkyard, I came up with a better plan. I am donating the car to the student council at my high school. They are going to have a "car smash" the day of the biggest football rivalry game. What do I get out of this, I don't have to pay to get rid of it(and maybe a cut of profits).

How do you guys think I should prep the car, so it is safe, but still fun to smash. Empty gas tank, but what else?

Give the kids blow torches and leave the tank full. Its like a pinata but 2x the fun.

    I bombed Korea every night.

Removing the windshields would be a good idea.
No one likes shards of glass in their eye

      You should video tape it.

        Check with the school board.
We did this at our HS. We charged by time...
Leave the glass in I think, it will bring more interest. Obviously keeping people back is essential, and clean-up will need to be arranged.

Bottom line, talk to the school board FIRST!
        Below the radar...

It is being approved right now, my friend is a master with the words and the school committee. That is no problem. Glass is staying and I think I will tape it and post it when we are done. Good plan.

we have had a couple of those at my old school.... same sort of thing... after the big football game.... but i would have to say the most interesting would be a couple of my friends that got cars for free.... a 1984 maxima, and a 1974 rabbit diesel.... both of the cars were in pretty good shape...
well, during our nutrition break... 15 min after 2nd period, we held a little demolition derby in the parking lot..... that was one of the coolest things i have ever seen... they ran into each other 4 or 5 times..... well anyway, they got into a little bit of trouble, and they couldnt park on campus anymore.... oh well, it was sweet.

All the cars donated to our auto shop have been pulverized. I regularly just walk up and punch them my hardest... We've used a sawzall to turn a full size chevy truck into an enormous amount of metal strips. We've punched every window/mirror in all the vehicles too. And when I was spraying my dad's car, the paint booth was locked and it was during lunch, so the teachers were gone (They locked me and my friends in the auto shop). So I grabbed and old driveshaft and used it like a baseball bat to pound on the cars :P

Ever removed the springs and chopped the top of a frenza? Not remove the top, chop, section and lower it.

Or how bout bunnhyoping onto the hood of a omni riding onto the roof only to have the sunroof fall in and you go OTB?

                How bout....

                auto shop cars rule ;)
