and to the OP i feel your pain Im on my fourth oil pan. But i must say that all three pan collisions couldve been avoided. Get some better headlights and drive a bit more careful.... THAT or buy a skid plate

Cracked oil pan, that sucks, so fix it. If you can get the city to pay for it, then do it. Sheesh...what do you want?

Personally, I think the best way to fix your oil pan is to cry harder about it...or punch a cop.

Sorry about your oil pan, I know exactly what you hit. Its when they are resurfacing the streets they cut the black top down and the man holes stick up quite a ways. But you should have known you where in a construction zone. But whatever, damage is done.

One thing I will never understand about everyone who lowers the E30 and completely fails to invest in a good skid plate. Like the guy above who proudly claims to have gone through 4 oil pans, you my friend are a putz!

Lowered E30 = Skid Plate, end of story. You can buy one or have one custom made. I personally am going with a plate steel skid plate with chassis tube bracing.
