    Anybody in Louisiana?

I met a guy at Road Atlanta a couple of years ago that had a pristine red e30 track car. It was probably the most buttoned-down e30 track car I've ever seen. The car had an S52 conversion along with a five lug swap, full cage, diamond plate floors, and attention to detail that was staggering.

I talked to him for few, and he said he was from New Orleans. I asked him about katrina, and he said his garage flooded, but he had the track car up on a lift, so it survived. The car was a dark red color and had the number 17 on it.

Is he a member here, or does anyone know the guy?

If he has an E30, and isn't on here, I have no idea who he is. Unfortunately, there are a LOT of enthusiasts in LA that aren't members of the online communities. Hopefully, if he is still in the area, got him, his family, and his cars out prior to today.
I do know off a guy in Watson, about 5 miles from me, who has a red E30 with a turbo'd S motor in it. Unfortunately I haven't met him yet. My old boss knows him though. From what I have been told, his dad has been fighting cancer or something for the past few years and hasn't really been able to do much car related. But I do know that he pretty much has every piece of equipment necessary to build a motor in his garage. Everything from a honing machine to a line boring machine. Luck SOB.

The Gustav coverage reminded me of the guy, so I thought I would ask.

I hope all you LA guys make it through this one.

The weather channel images don't look too bad.

How is it on the ground?
