im pissed off and i want to slap my self!

so im driving along and i start hearing a clang clang clang from my right front strut tower. so im like i shit what the fuck is going wrong now! so i drive home and park the car. next morning i lift it up and take a gander. so im lifting the little blue protective boot up the bilstein strut when i see something missing. can any one guess what it was?

needless to say i felt like a dumb ass when i saw this because it means that i did not tighten it down to speck when i installed the shit!
so next friday i invite all the e30 owners to come over to my house and slap me.

Mine did that even after I tightened it properly.

Mine did it too, and it took me forever to track down the clunk, because I had pretty much replaced every front suspension component before realizing what it was.

                          Even better:
Just tighten it with a pipe wrench. You can fit the pipe wrench through thr spring, and it's more leverage than trying to pound on it with a screwdriver and hammer.

Pipe wrench all the way. I should probably check mine as I just finished up the new suspension.
