    Teh Rust

    How to removes it?

I've heard that vinegar works pretty well, but what if the part you want to remove rust from isn't exactly immersible? There's some surface rust on the inside of these euro bumpers that i've acquired and i want to remove it. And how can i protect it from future rust? paint over it?

    thanks

wire brush and por15 if its just surface. If its rotting or more then surface then cut it out and weld in a new piece.

so from the por 15 site, it says that all you have to do is apply it? it then removes rust AND protects it from future rust?
where can i purchase some? home depot?

        and i googled 'pixel-20, pixel-20 rust, pixel 20, and pixel20', but i didn't find anything...who makes it?

I just made this exact topic not too long ago.. I say that not to tell you to search, but...They did give me a bunch of good answers.

I did the brush, converter, paint surface method. Ofcourse the definite answer seems to be a welder and some sheetmetal.

            My bad ;)

You can compare that with por15 and pick what you want.

Dremel away the stuff that has rot, apply POR-15 to whatever is left over.

I've got some surface rust in the well under where the battery sits in most E30s. I'm going to hit it with a wire brush, vacuum, rust converter and then paint.
