well the spoilers are interchangeable....so they could have just drilled holes in your stock trunk lid and put it on?

i dont know po did alot stuff to this poor car,, hack the exaust, at the head no cat no muffler nothing. swapped seats from i think a 88 325 and lost all the bolt hardware.? the rear seat doesnt even snap down. hacked the dash for a head unit. i am fixing alot of po f-ups to get it back oem,, plus i plan going turbo, and lower lot of work ahead..

early 318s used different lower back seat sections, they don't snap in, but instead use two tabs that screw in behind the front seats.

i ment the bottom of it does not snap in,,, let me be clear it does not bolt down in the same way as the original did,, judging from the bolt holes,, the seat that is ther hold points are to far out from the center

You are talking about the rear seat yes? That's what I was telling you, the bottom section on the early and late e30s is not the same.
