Not all things they offer are at crazy above industry average profit margins. They did have some decent deals back in the day. Havent bought from them since.

You know my experience with them has been great thus far.

A few months ago, actually, they had a sale on billy sports for 350 shipped (cheapest i have ever seen on the net, ever). I ordered them along with a few other things, but i missed the sale by 1 day, and didnt even realize i paid the full price until a month or so later. Called them up just to make sure. Turns out the the sale was for the month of June and i ordered July 1st... go figure. Anyway... my mistake. But before i got off the phone... the sales rep goes "Listen, b/c you missed out on the sale i'd like to send you a $25 gift cert to make up for it." Its not the 50 bucks i could have saved if i ordered 1 day earlier but hey, they didnt have to do that either....

they were great in the day before the internet.

and perhaps they changed management or let the wrong people in charge.

for critical parts (engine seals- gaskets, ) i shop the dealer, but pelican is my place now.
also autohouz is good, b/c i have bought a few things from bavauto- only to have to return them, and it took about 30 days or more to get a refund.

very knowledgeable staff when i did order, doesn't make up for shipping the wrong parts.

i know the staff doesn't personally ship the products but i thought they could at least check on their numbers...either way, bav auto has a lot more competition these days then ever before, and its getting worse

are there any online vendors that can physically walk to their warehouse to check on something for a particular part? it would be nice to get some kind of visual confirmation about little measurements/colours/manufacturing materials.
