    Driver side air vent R & R

The slats on the small driver side air vent are rattling around because they are broken/loose.

Do I need to pull the dash to remove/replace the vent with a new one (already on the way) or do I need to pull the dash?

The random rattling of the loose/broken vent slats is annoying.

    Thanks.

Do a search. I remember seeing a thread on how to tighten up loose air vents.

apply silicone to the edge of a razor and push it into the side of the vents... fixed.

im not sure what youre talking about but if you are talking about how they wont stay in one place you can wedge pieces of the clear plastic cd that comes in a spindle of blank cds
imbetween the vent and the housing, but as far as removing the vent with out removing the dash. i have dont it. in fact ive removed all the ducting. the vents just pop out. with the exception of the middle vents, they were kinda hard to get out

I have to pull the vent and replace it, as the slats on the vent are broken and rattling around.

The slats that adjust the side to side aire flow, not the up and down air flow.

Going over a bump, they rattle. The vent is not loose, but the slats are broken.

It needs to be pulled and replaced.

Do I just need to pull it out and pop the new one in?

they are pressure fit into the dash. A small screwdriver or straight edge on one side should help pop them out.
