Yup, the Routanaguanagator is just a rebadged Grand Caravan/Town & Country. That said, the new Dodge/Chrysler GC/T&C is supposedly a pretty impressive van in comparison to earlier iterations.

I'm trying to get the grandparents into one of these, but only when they have a VR available.

The routan is a Chrysler minivan just reskinned. That explains the shit motors.

VW signed a non-compete agreement with ford a decade or so ago stating that they would not bring the (apparently brilliant) Touran minivan over and have to keep up with that end of the bargain. I wonder what cool euro Ford gave up on bringing to the states at that time?
