Timeserts rock. They are used by the factory techs to repair stripped head bolts on M52TU's.

one warning about using timeserts, MAKE SURE you use a GOOD extension, if it is loose or wobbly it will go in croocked and once the insert is seated the locktite has set up and you will have a bitch of a time pulling it back out. i know this from personal experience!

you will need a "kit" consisting of:
reamer, cutter (tap), installer and flaring tool, inserts

iirc they are around $60 and come with 20 inserts of varying lengths

you may try napa for a kit

wurth has reps that cover different area's and keep stock at their houses.
winzer is located in Texas and has reps the same way that wurth does (they are usually cheaper too)
