is ther a id tag on rear-ends? i want to know if mine is a lsd.

ya

you may need to clean the diff, but there is a tag that will say 3.73, 4.10, or whatever. if it is an lsd then there will be an S after the numbers (3.73S, etc)

On the cover, right hand side. The tag is about 5/16"x1 1/2".

Also, an LSD will have a painted "S" on top of the diff housing itself. (After you clean all the dirt, grease, and grime off, of course).
