Well I pulled the 885 I Cylinder head that was oil starved off my 1987 325is parts car last night, and guese What I found staring at me in the engine block? 325e Eta pistons
This car had a Rebuilt engine put in it at 120k and had 140k put on the rebuilt engine when the head gasket blew. Some how the head got oil starved(deep scores in the cam bearings).
I wonder how well it ran with the low Compression the engien had Full 87 I fuel injection and computer and the I Oil cooler also.
I feel bad for the guy I got the car from as they paid $6800 for it in 1996. Luckily I got it for $400 I guese I'll have another eta block sitting in the garage. So Far I've found no damage to the block, but will know for sure once I yank the oil pan.
