From 1969 to present. My aero work on bodies first won in 1971. My mechanical and fab work in 1969. I have used flowbenches and dynos extensively since 1975. I OWN and use both. I also use outside ones.

I'm obviously not as smart as you, but I'd suggest you go: 1) use a flow bench for a few months at least 2) use a real ENGINE dyno 3) run some pro races 4) ask the top 10 at any big race if they use fan style vortex generation in an inlet tract. I'll guarantee you they don't. If the tract is well sized, putting shit in it hurts.

The DRAG, PARASITIC drag created by those blades is quite significant. Fuck the vortex, you are in the middle of a tract. The fuel is not atomized at that point, either, and your precious vortex is gone in the chamber, where it does matter.

A near identical part called a swarup was made in the 70's and tested by several motorcycle magazines, it always lost power.

Those of us who use flow benches professionally have stuck a lot of things in inlet tracts over the years, we have at least a vague idea what happens. At the airspeeds and densities involved in an automotive inlet, these parts are a joke. No, they are a DRAG.
HEY Mdick, did you google all that crap because its clear you dont know shit about cars or all out street racing. i took a bone stock 85 325e and did some home brew secret mods to it including the tornado and massive weight reduction along with some tested aero parts i made in my moms basement for downforce and im smoking e36m3's all day long. so the parasitic drag you speak of dont mean shit to me asshole. why dont you get on your knees and ill flow test your nostrils with my schlong wedged in your windpipe. i really dont think you know my street cred in the race scene here in gods country. you wanna race punk??????????

I thought vortexing is only useful if you have a VW. :)

i have found that if you buy two..one of the intake and the other installed backwards in your exhaust tips not only do you get a increase of flow in the intake but also better exit flow of exhaust. of course if you have an "I" you'll need 3.one for intake 2 for your exhaust tips.

I'll be putting up a group buy.

i can vouch for this claim. 2 months ago i was in lake tahoe with pinepig and i placed a small amount of mighty putty on my ballsack. we had to apply heat and chemicals to free pinepigs chin from the grip of my nutsack
