Help pricing car I want to buy

1989 325i 5-speed 108K miles. 100% stock. Garaged since new, but driven in salt for 10 years. All the pics including closeups look great on top, immaculate interior, nice paint, $15K of service records since new. I'm a little concerned about some rust underneath - Here's a couple examples:

I could use some quick opinions on price you'd pay.

    Thanks!

I don't see much rust there really, looks like surface rust, but not through the metal

How is that? I gave $700 for a calypso 1990 325i with 125k and no rust...

Well, isn't this special: I brought up the Google cached version of the guy's old ad & found this:

Dang. Here in Las Vegas, I mostly see people wanting $3K for 200K thrashed, smoking, vermin-infested ETA's.

It does look to be only surface rust, and the paint overall looks OK at best, especially with the shitty camera quality. Considering the condition of the interior is pretty damn good, I would probably pay around $1100 to $1400 tops depending on mechanical condition. Of course I would also try to low ball the shit out of them first...

I wouldn't touch it honestly. I'd be willing to bet there is plenty of rust hiding elsewhere if it saw salty roads for 10 years. Just keep holding out for the right one. Good E30s go for next to free quite a bit, you just have to be quick.

I paid $3250 for a very similar car.
Better paint on my old one though(all original paint and panels).
I thought I stole it at that price.

That car with a 4.10 rear and chip is pretty quick.

                        Watch for more accident damage.
That fender has definetly been repainted.

                        Good luck

Looks to be missing a seat belt buckle (what do you call the female part of the seat belt; the buckle?) or maybe its just push in.

Hows the drivers seat you look? That's the most important one to show.

Thanks to all for your quick responses - I'm going to decline on this one. But I've been looking pretty hard for a long time, and I hardly ever see really nice E30's. The ones that are nice, the owner always knows what he has & prices the thing for a zillion.
