how does the oil pan clearance compare between the M42 and the 6 cylinder motors? are they both aluminum pans?

what kind of gas mileage difference is there?

both alum...m42 is a bit lower. if the car is lowered you should be careful either way. i think the m42 powered cars will get a good 8-10 mpg better on the highway.
