    Is this right?

They say they are asking $10,900, that seems really low. Are 8 series really going that cheap these days?

That M70 V12 scares people about as much as the problematic early 5HP30 transmissions do. In all actuality, he's probably asking too much for what appears to be a ratty looking 8er.

I still love the look of the E31 instrument cluster, it reminds me of something exotic.

It looks pretty clean to me besides the horrendous wheels. What kind of issues does the M70 have?

I knew they had pop-ups, but had never seen them up. They look horrible.

Love the rest of the car though.

-I'm just not a big fan of the e31. Just looks out-of-place as a BMW.
-Also, seems to be one of those cars that were purchased when some guy walked into the dealship, and asked for the most expensive BMW they had, just because he could. Maybe I'm just jealous

The 8er always reminds me a bit of the M1 in the front end treatment. Lovely car, but I hear the maintenance costs are mind-boggling.

its all about the 850CSi. that's what you get if you want a m 8er, that is if you can find one.

Meh, it just seems like a car that has been subject to years of abuse and neglect. The interior looks a bit shabby as well, there are far better candidates for buying a big V12 BMW coupe, I wouldn't cheap out on one in Queenzz.

The M70 is a pretty solid motor, I heard a rumor somewhere that it essentially two M20's mated to the same camshaft... not so sure about that though. It's true Achilles' Heel is maintenance. Parts are expensive. Labor is expensive. Engine rebuilds rival Ivy League tuition rates.

Again, not a car to cheap out on. If you are in the market for one, do your homework and look for a mint specimen, not a bargain.

It shouldn't be that cheap. Whoever buys it might get lucky, or they might get a nightmare.

Eh, yeah. I meant that the M70 is a SOHC that appears to be two M20's joined to the same crankshaft.

                            Thanks.
